Community Plant Sale

The Mount Klitsa Garden Club’s annual Community Plant Sale will take place this year on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Cherry Creek Farmer’s Market.

For sale will be shrubs, dahlia tubers, annuals, perennials, odds and ends, and indoor plants. Members will be busy in the next two months potting up plants and seedlings which will be for sale at very reasonable prices. In the past, raffle items, donated by local businesses, have been available. These may again be available, depending on the generosity of local merchants.

This sale has been a popular event in the Valley for over 20 years!

Fall Fair Entry Update

Thanks to everyone who contributed to our display. Thanks also to the members who organized the display and to our newest member for his Kids’ Giveaway initiative which was very successful with forty packages being given away. We earned our usual blue ribbon as well as a large rosette ribbon for our efforts in addition to the $15 cash prize.

Community Plant Sale Update

After a successful, although cool garden sale on May 25, 2019 at Rollin Art Centre
the Raffle draw went to the following people.   The lovely Ceramic Garden Pot valued at $89.00  from Naesgaard Farm  & Market went to Marta Williamson,  the colourful assorted flower table basket from Colyn’s Nursery & Garden Centre  valued at $30.00 went to Annie H.,   the Metal Pail filled with 100 assorted bulbs and tubers donated by West Coast Home Hardware. valued at  $19.95 was won by Suki Dhillon and the beautiful purple and white hanging basket from Quality Food valued at $35.00 was won by Linda Benner.
All the winners were delighted by their good fortune and came immediately to pick up their prizes.   We thank the donors for their continuing support in helping us to make our once a year fund raiser a success.   Also a big hand to all the many volunteers and garden club plant contributors who gave up their time to put this sale on and all its planning into a successful Plant Sale.

Welcome to the Site of the Mount Klitsa Garden Club!

The Mount Klitsa Garden Club meets the first Thursday of the month, except in June when we have a Summer Social at a member’s home. There are no meetings in July or August.  This is when we spend time in our gardens!

In September there is no regular meeting since we are busy preparing our entry into the Fall Fair. In December we have a Christmas dinner at a local restaurant.

We have a monthly speaker as well as a Parlour Show where members bring floral arrangements based on a monthly theme.  The raffle is also a very popular part of our monthly program.  Plants and other items donated by members are often available for sale at  our meetings at very reasonable prices.

Meetings take place in the Dogwood Room at Echo Centre starting at 7:00 p.m.

New members are always welcome. Our annual fee is $20 while the first meeting to try us out is free.  We hope to see you there!
