The next regular meeting of the Garden Club will take place on Thursday, May 2 , 2024 in the Cedar Room at Echo Centre. Please note the room change for this month’s meeting.
The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.
New members are always welcome and may purchase a membership at our meetings. Memberships cost $20 annually which are due in October.
Our guest speakers in May will be Connie Kuramoto. She is an excellent speaker and is very knowledgeable about growing vegetables. Her topic will be Timelines for Seed Starts and Transplants for Both Summer and Winter.
The May Parlour Show topic is Spring Inspirations.
Members bring floral arrangements using flowers and plants from their gardens for the Parlour Show. There is a prize awarded for the best arrangement and there is also a participation prize.
There may also be a plant sale of plants donated by members for sale at reasonable prices. Past copies of Gardens West or other gardening magazines will also be available for purchase at minimal cost. And, of course, there will be a raffle.
I was very impressed and enjoyed my first meeting of this club last night at Echo. The meeting is so well organized, interesting, and involves a group of very dedicated and talented gardeners. I will definitely join this club! So much to learn.
